Animated TowneTownes of SosariaAnimated Towne

There are 10 Townes in Sosaria. Six of them are easily accessible from the mainland, two are on islands, and two are hidden on the mainland. Townes can prove most helpful, both for acquiring provisions and equipment and searching for information. Several Townes have similar shops, but no two Townes are the same, and each Towne has something of interest to offer. A guide for the shop designations is listed after the Townes.

The Towne of Dawn Dawn

Hidden in the dense forest just west of the Montors lies the mysterious Towne of Dawn. Accessible only when both moons are at the zero phase (0,0), this Towne has much to offer the desperate and, subsequently, wealthy adventurer. Adventurers may procure magical arms and armor, heal themselves, acquire dungeon tools, and consult one of Sosaria's two oracles.
Shops: A, F, H, P, S, T, W

The Towne of Death Gulch Death Gulch

Located on an Island east of the mainland is the seedy Towne of Death Gulch. This Towne has all the necessities of life, and even a few surprises. Entrance may be gained through the catacombs that surround the Towne if the bribery is out of the question. Be sure to note the gold behind the armorer. The only way to this Towne is by frigate.
Shops: A, F, P, W

The Towne of Devil Guard Devil Guard

Accessible only by Moon Portal because it is surrounded by mountains, Devil Guard is a shady Towne with a rough population. The lay-out of the Towne is unique, with bridges connecting the small islands it is built on. Information concerning Marks can be found here. The wary adventurer should watch out for monsters just as the glow of the Moon Portal fades.
Shops: F, H, P, S, T

The Towne of Fawn Fawn

Just off the north coast of Sosaria, on a tiny island, is the Towne of Fawn. The City of the Sea offers travelers food, drink, and a place to be healed. There are also dungeon tools available for purchase. The small island east-southeast of Fawn is the location of Exotic weapons. As with Death Gulch, this Towne is only accessible by frigate.
Shops: F, H, P, T

The Towne of Grey Grey

On a peninsula, on the southwest edge of Sosaria, lies the Towne of Grey. The shady nature of this Towne is obvious, as drunken thieves and fighters openly roam the streets. In the southeast corner of the Towne is the apparent location of a cache of stolen treasure, viciously guarded by a thief. It is a trap, however, which will instantly alarm the few guards of the Towne.
Shops: A, F, P, T, W

The Towne of LCB LCB

Just southeast of Lord British's castle is the Towne of LCB. Nestled in the shadow of the monarch's castle, this Towne is an excellent place to replenish one's rations and weapons, especially after receiving more levels from Lord British. This Towne is also very close to three dungeons, which makes it a good place to retreat to and regroup after a particularly taxing trip to one of them.
Shops: A, F, P, W

The Towne of Montor East Montor East

On the east bank of the Trident River is the Towne of Montor East. It has a sleepy atmosphere, especially when compared to its sister across the water. However, a large contingent of guards is present to maintain that laid-back nature.

Shops: A, P, W

The Towne of Montor West Montor West

Across the river from its sister is the Towne of Montor West. Located within its strong walls is the Montor Prison; its inhabitants have much information to share, and the bribe to get into the prison is money well spent. The hidden Towne of Dawn is in the forest to the northwest of here, and a Moon Portal is available just to the west-southwest.
Shops: A, F, P(2), W

The Towne of Moon Moon

Beneath the mountains in the northwest lies the Towne of Moon. So named for its nearness to the Moon Portal which appears on the full moon (0,0), this Towne offers little more than the basic necessities of life. Its proximity to this Portal, however, makes it an important stop when one is low on these basics.

Shops: F, H, P

The Towne of Yew Yew

Nestled within a forest, surrounded by mountains, is the Towne of Yew. This spiritual Towne offers only healing and provisions within its forested confines, but it contains two shrines for moral guidance - the Rogation Worships and the Circle of Light. Praying within the Circle is a sure way to receive divine inspiration.

Shops: F, H
