CastleLord British's CastleCastle

Entrance to British's Castle The game begins with the adventuring party appearing outside of the castle, just west of the Towne of LCB. The castle has much to offer adventurers of every level and ability. Enjoy the sites, talk to the people you encounter, but don't start trouble. If the multitude of guards don't stop you, Lord British will surely bring disaster to your party.

Lord British Himself When visiting with British, be sure to request more power based upon the experience you have acquired. He will inform you if the time is right for promotion or if more work is required. At one point, a Mark will be neccessary in order to advance further. Lord British is a busy man, and the court jesters will entertain adventurers until he can grant an audience.

The good Lord British has a chamber? The castle is not only a place to go and get power from British. It is also a place for exploration, just like any other location in Sosaria. Whenever possible, bring plenty of keys to the castle in order to get around better. The strangest things are just out of sight. The Torture Chamber is a good place to garner information, but not from the imprisoned monsters, who will not only attack the party but cause the guards to attack the party as well. The fiery jester might something important to say as well.

What does the Cleric know? When you enter the castle, you have to cross the drawbridge. Enough exploration will reveal that the most is accessible, and a frigate may be acquired. The cleric on the other side of the moat needs a good talking to, and the firgate provides the means to reach him. Unfortunately, the frigate may not be removed from the castle.

Where does the hall of fire lead? Another interesting item in the castle is one of Sosaria's two Oracles (the other is in the Towne of Dawn). Find the hallway lined with fire and follow it around to the Oracle. Be careful not to get hemmed in by a curious guard sent to follow your movements. Fortunately, like in the other Townes in Sosaria, the guards here can be bribed.

The Mark of Force is needed... Need extra gold quickly? Acquire the Mark of Force and two keys, and find the Store Rooms in the castle. The two rooms beyond the wall of force each have gold for the taking for adventurers, and extra gold ALWAYS comes in handy for the intrepid adventurer.
